Retirement ceremony scheduled for Friday

A retirement ceremony will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 12 in the 61st Air Squadron auditorium in Building 234 for Tech. Sgt. Keith W. Christy.

Program coordinators, members sought

The Military Equal Opportunity Office is looking for program coordinators and committee members for the 2007 Women’s History Month Observance, March 1-31. Meetings will be held at 11:30 a.m. each Wednesday in the MEO classroom (bldg 842, behind the education bldg). Bring lunch.

Orientation Jan. 19

A Heartlink orientation for spouses new to the Air Force is 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 19 at the Health and Wellness Center, Bldg. 827, located in the Fitness Center. Presenters will share information about the Air Force mission, customs, traditions and protocol. Attendees will learn about entitlements and resources available. There will be an opportunity to meet other spouses new to the Air Force, play games and win door prizes. Brig. Gen. Kip Self will present all attendees with a Heart Link coin. A continental breakfast and light lunch will be served. Please contact the LRAFB Family Child Care co-ordinater at 987-3156 if child care is required. Child care will be paid for from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Call 987-6801 to reserve a spot.

Open house Jan. 18

The Little Rock Spouses’ Club hosts an Open House for all Little Rock spouses, Jan. 18 at the Consolidated Club. The Little Rock Officer’s Spouses Club is now the Little Rock Spouses Club. All base spouses — active duty officer and enlisted, civilian and retired are welcome. Social begins at 6:30 p.m. with the program starting at 7 p.m. There will be a dessert buffet, coffee and hot chocolate. There is no cost for this event. Basketball season here

The 2007 basketball season is here. The Sports and Fitness Center is looking for qualified officials.
Anyone certified is welcomed. There will also be an officials clinic to train anyone interested in becoming a certified official. Clinic date to be announced at a later date. Interested please call SrA Herndon or SrA Todd at 987-7716.

Open house set

Jennifer Frankel is new Mildly ILL Family Child Care (MIFCC) Provider at Little Rock Air Force Base Family Child Care program. She will host an open house from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 19 at 130 Dakota Dr. Military and DoD parents will have the opportunity to meet the current Mildly Ill provider and sign up for the program. The Mildly Ill Program provides free child care for your child when they are too ill to attend their normal child care setting.
