College graduation April 11

The Spring 2007 Community College of the Air Force graduation is scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Consolidated Club. Graduates must arrive at 1 p.m. There will also be a mandatory rehearsal for attending graduates at 1 p.m. April 10. All base personnel are invited and encouraged to attend the ceremony. Adoption seminar April 26

Exploring Adoption will be held from 6-7:30 p.m. April 26. Learn about the available options. Topics covered include:

Marriage seminar scheduled

“A Growing Marriage” seminar will give you insight on how to help. Gary Chapman’s “A Growing Marriage” Seminar is a powerful investment in your marriage. The sessions are filled with lots of humor and practical insight on sound biblical marriage. "A Growing Marriage” is designed to stimulate strong, healthy marriages. Call the Chapel at 987-6014. Appointment Wednesday instituted

In order to better serve our customers, the 314th Comptroller Squadron is instituting Appointment Wednesday. Every Wednesday customer service will have the following eight appointments available for scheduling: 7 a.m., 7:15 a.m., 7:30 a.m., 7:45 a.m., and 4 p.m., 4:15 p.m., 4:30 p.m. and 4:45 p.m. These appointment times are available to anyone whose work schedule makes it hard for them to visit Finance during normal duty hours. To make an appointment, a member simply emails their request to 314service@littlerock.af.mil and provides a brief outline of their pay query. A technician will then respond with the next available appointment time and any additional paperwork that will be required.


Spouses club host gathering April 19

The Little Rock Spouses’ Club is having an “International Bunko” night April 19 at the Consolidated Club. Check-in starts at 6 p.m. and bunko starts at 6:30 p.m. Menu is a pasta bar, including salad, steamed broccoli, garlic bread, cheesecake, tea, coffee and water. Cost is $10. Clean-up day April 14

In conjunction with the City of Jacksonville, Little Rock Family Housing hosts a Community Clean-Up Day April 14. All residents are encouraged to participate by tidying up their yard and surrounding area. Extra dumpsters will be placed at the Town Hall building for easier disposal of bulk and junk items. To help beautify your yard, American Eagle will be giving a flat of flowers to interested residents — one flat per house-hold until they are all gone. Flower distribution will be at the Town Hall starting at 10:30 a.m. For details or questions call 983-9046.

The following non-appropriated-fund jobs are available: Lodging: Lodging clerk NF-01, regular hours, maintenance worker NA-02, flexible hours. custodial worker, NA-02, flexible; Youth Center: School age program assistance CC-01, flexible hours; Accounting office: Accounting technician NF-II, temporary regulary hours.

Summer positions available are Golf Course: Laborer NA-03, flexible hours; Swimming pool: ID checkers NF-01, flexible hours, laborer NA-02, flexible hours and Youth Center: school age program assistant CC-01, flexible hours. Applicants must be 16 years of age to apply for summer positions. Applicants must be 18 years of age to apply for Youth Center positions and must have a high school diploma or GED.
