Flu vaccinations available

Flu vaccinations are currently available for active-duty members only. Active duty personnel are highly encouraged to get their flu vaccinations at the scheduled squadron times or at the TCAC from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday, and Nov. 26, and 27. Unit Deployment Monitors and Unit Health Monitors should call Staff Sgt. MacKenzie Savoy at 987-7312 for scheduling. Flu vaccinations will be available for high risk patients and all other beneficiaries Nov. 26.


Chapel seeks musician

The Little Rock Air Force Base Chapel has a position open for a musician for the 6 p.m. Contemporary Protestant service.  Individual needs to be a committed, mature Christian who works well with others. Applicants must have the ability to read music with proficiency in playing piano and/or keyboard. A copy of the Statement of Work, explaining other details, can be obtained from Staff Sgt. Terry Mueth, at the Chapel located at 950 Arnold Drive, Little Rock AFB AR.  Resumes and sealed bids must be submitted no later than, Friday, Nov. 30. Retirements

Master Sgt. Daniel Graham will retire at 3 p.m. today at Little Rock Air Force Base conference center.

Master Sgt. Monroe will retire at 2 p.m. Monday at Hangar 1080.


Scout work day

The Air Base Scout Hut will have a work day beginning at 8 a.m. for Saturday for those interested in helping improve this facility for Jacksonville and Air Base Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts of Troop 170 and Cub Scouts of Pack 170.  Point of contact is Carol Weld at 988-9720, or Joe Morris at 606-6688.


Finance to be closed

Finance will be closed on from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday for a squadron function.  If there are any emergencies please contact 501-425-7006.


Commissary holiday schedule

The following is the Holiday Hours Schedule for Little Rock Commissary: Open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, Nov. 19; Closed Thursday, Nov. 22 Thanksgiving Day; Open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, Nov. 23; Open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, Dec. 24; Closed Tuesday, Dec. 25 Christmas Day; Open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, Dec. 31 and closed Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2008 New Year’s Day.

Office closure

The 314 Logistics Readiness Squadron Customer Service Center, bldg 450 will be closed from 1 to 4 p.m. Monday for a retirement ceremony for Master Sgt. John Monroe. Personal property/passenger services, bldg 1255 will be at minimum manning for the same function.


NAF openings

The following non-appropriated-fund jobs are available: Youth Center, secretary, NF-II, regular hours and Skills Center, recreation assistant (engraving), NF-II, regular hours. All federal NAF employees are required by Public Law 104-134 to have salary payments made by electronic funds transfer/direct deposit. For more information call 987-6440.


Thanksgiving service set

An Ecumenical Thanksgiving Service and Pie Social will be held at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Base Chapel.  Please bring a pie to share at the social immediately following the service in the Chapel Annex.


Thanksgiving dinner

The Razorback Cafe will serve a Thanksgiving lunch from 11 a..m to 3 p.m. Thursday. Retirees and family members are welcome. For more information call 987-3071.
