Combat Airlifter
of the Week

Senior Master Sgt. Shane Wardroup, 314th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, C-130J NCO in charge, checks a landing gear selector valve for leaks and loose parts on a C-130 at Little Rock AFB. Aug. 4. Sergeant Wardroup was selected as the Combat Airlifter of the Week for his outstanding governing of 278 maintenance Airmen maintaining 29 C-130E aircraft. His efforts led to an 87 percent mission-capable rate in July, eclipsing the Air Education and Training Command standard of 75 percent. Inset: Col.
