Combat Airlifter
of the Week

Brig. Gen. Rowayne A. Schatz, Jr, 19th Airlift Wing commander, presents Mr. Jim Anderson, an Army and Air Force Exchange Service computer technician, with a coin after his selection as the Combat Airlifter of the Week Monday. Mr. Anderson was selected as the Combat Airlifter of the Week for his work during a temporary assignment to the Houston, Tex. area along with 7,500 National Guard members to help victims of Hurricane Ike recover. Additionally, Mr. Anderson was sent to Ellington Field, Tex. to set up a Mobile Field Exchange during Hurricane Ike’s aftermath by setting up communications, register and wave points to facilitate the erection of the MFE.
